THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Advisory Committee (JP) serves to advise the Commissioner on all matters related to the Personal Data Protection, Administration and Enforcement Act and advise on any matter referred to by the Commissioner. However, the Commission is not bound to the advice of the Advisory Committee. However, the Commission is not bound to the advice of the Advisory Committee.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBER
JP membership shall consist of members appointed by the Minister and consisting of: –
- A Chairman;
- Three members of the public sector; and
- At least seven (7) members but not more than eleven (11) other members.
DURATION POST
JP’s appointment by the Minister not later than three (3) years but no member shall hold office for a period of two consecutive terms.
