PURPOSE OF PERSONAL DATA
Personal data means any information that was used in commercial transactions relating directly or indirectly to a data subject, as identified from that information. Data can be recorded either manually or electronically covers the objective and subjective regardless of source information was obtained including basic information (eg name, address and identity card number) until the sensitive information (eg medical records and health) or any other information specified by the Minister under the Act from time to time.
Some examples of “personal data” is :-
- Name and Address
- Identification Card Number
- Passport Number
- Health Information
- Picture
- Image in the recording of closed circuit television (CCTV)
- information in personal files
- Bank account details
- Credit card details
- Health information (sensitive), for example, blood typing, health record or description up to sensitive information such as political beliefs, religious beliefs, physical or mental condition & nbsp; or any other information prescribed by the Minister under the Act from time to time.
SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA
Sensitive personal data shall mean any personal data that contains information about health or physical or mental condition of a data subject, political opinions, religious beliefs or other beliefs of a similar nature commission of any offense by him or any other personal data specified by Minister by order published in the gazette.
